Keith Floyd Memorial Project

Keith Floyd’s passing on September 14, 2009, marked the loss of a truly beloved and influential figure in the culinary and television worlds. His vibrant personality and innovative approach to cooking left a lasting impression on many, including me. I remember his humour, flamboyance, and unwavering dedication to his craft, which made him both inspiring and endearing. Floyd’s natural talent and passion for food helped demystify cooking and brought it closer to the everyday person, emphasising the value of fresh, local ingredients. His legacy continues to inspire chefs and food lovers alike.

In honour of his remarkable life, I am pleased to share information about the Keith Floyd Memorial Project (http://www.keithfloydmemorialproject.org.uk), a heartfelt initiative aimed at creating a bronze memorial statue in his hometown of Wiveliscombe, Somerset. This project is a small but meaningful way for us to pay tribute to someone who profoundly influenced many of us. Please visit the website, take a moment to reflect on his impact, and consider supporting this meaningful endeavour. Your support, whether big or small, can help preserve his memory and inspire future generations.

Phil.
