Ingredients
 

  • 4 medium onions, peeled 2 layers down and sliced
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh or dried sage, finely chopped
  • 350 ml apple juice
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil and add the onions over high heat for 2-3 minutes to get some colour
  • Turn down the heat, add the sage and juice and cook down until you have a thick stew
  • Season well with salt and pepper
