Add some real style to your pancakes with a Banoffi-style filling.

Ingredients
 

  • 8 medium-sized pancakes, (see below)
  • 100 g bitter chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 4 bananas, roughly chopped
  • 397 g (1 tin) Carnation Caramel sauce
  • 1 medium egg white, lightly beaten
  • 1 finely grated zest oflarge lime
  • squeeze of juice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C gas 7.
  • Chop the banana into small pieces.
  • Mix with the chopped chocolate and 4 tbsp of the caramel fudge.
  • Finally, add the egg white, zest of the lime, and a squeeze of the juice.
  • Fill the pancakes by placing some of the mixture into the middle, folding the sides in, and rolling them up.
  • Warm in the oven for about 10 minutes. The chocolate should not be completely melted.
  • Serve dusted with icing sugar, sliced and with thick clotted cream.
