Ingredients
- 3 large onions, very finely sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 pint good strong beef stock
- salt
- freshly milled black pepper
Instructions
- Heat the oil, add the onions and cook for 20 minutes to soften, gently with a lid on.
- Add the flour and mix well.
- Add the stock and again cook gently for 20 minutes or until cooked and thickened.
- Season well with salt and pepper, serve.
