Ingredients
- 120 g unsalted butter
- 150 g caster sugar
- 275 ml double cream
- 1 tbsp black treacle
- salt to taste
- squeeze of lemon juice
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Make the sauce by placing the butter, salt, sugar, treacle and cream together into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Whisk well until you have a thick sauce.
- Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice and vanilla extract.
